A Birthday Easel Card Using the Lovely Arrangements Bundle

This card happened because we were in a birthday-card mood and wanted something that felt a little more fun than a standard fold. Nothing wild, just a card that stands up, has some good layers, and feels like you put thought into it.
We pulled out the Lovely Arrangements Bundle and Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper and leaned into a soft, neutral color palette with plenty of texture. The easel fold gives it that extra something without changing how the card functions, which makes it perfect for birthdays where the card ends up sitting out for a few days instead of getting tucked away immediately.

Project Details & Inspiration
The design star of this card is the easel fold itself. That angled front panel instantly changes how the card feels in your hands. Instead of opening like a traditional card, the front lifts up and settles into a standing position, turning the entire piece into a display-worthy mini décor moment.
We started with a sturdy Early Espresso card base to give the structure enough weight to stand securely. From there, we layered Crumb Cake and Basic White to create clean, intentional frames that keep the design grounded and polished. That neutral base was key—it lets the florals and patterns shine without competing for attention.
The Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper takes center stage behind the focal flower. We used a scalloped die layer from the Lovely Arrangements Dies to add shape and contrast, alternating between solid cardstock and patterned paper so the layers feel deliberate rather than stacked just for the sake of stacking. The soft floral pattern adds movement, while the darker background keeps everything visually anchored.
Front and center is the layered flower from the Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set. We stamped, die cut, and layered it with coordinating leaves to create depth without overwhelming the card. A touch of twine adds texture and softness, keeping the focal point from feeling too rigid or flat.
Practical tip: When building an easel card, make sure your focal layers aren’t too bulky. You want enough dimension for interest, but not so much weight that the front panel struggles to stand.
