A Thoughtful Blue Card with the Lovely Arrangements Bundle

This was one of those cards that came together while we were talking and cutting paper at the same time. No plan, no sketch—just grabbing pieces that felt right and stacking them until the layout clicked. The Cloud Cover background was already embossed with the Lovely Stripes 3D Embossing Folder, the skinny Designer Series Paper were sitting nearby, and that sentiment was on the stamp block before we even really talked about it.
We ended up loving how steady this one feels. The vertical panels give it structure, the layers keep it interesting, and the sentiment does exactly what it’s supposed to do without needing a big focal image. It’s the kind of card you reach for when you want to show up for someone and say it simply.
Project Details & Inspiration
We kept this design clean and graphic by building everything around simple layers and strong lines. The Secret Sea card base gives the whole card a crisp frame, and the Cloud Cover embossed panel adds texture without turning the background into the main event. That subtle vertical embossing from the Lovely Stripes 3D Embossing Folder is such a nice way to add detail—when you tilt the card in the light, it looks amazing!
Across the center, we added a wide Night of Navy band to break up the height and give the sentiment a natural place to live. Then we layered in two slim Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper panels for contrast and a little visual rhythm. Keeping them narrow is what makes the pattern feel intentional instead of busy. We tucked in a soft geometric die cut behind the sentiment to add shape (and keep the straight lines from feeling too rigid), then finished with a few small Moody Palette Glossy Drops embellishments to balance the darker tones.
Practical tip: If you’re using two skinny patterned strips like this, cut them at the same time from one larger piece of paper. You’ll get perfectly matched sizing and spacing, and the pattern will coordinate automatically—no extra thinking required.
