There are two types of Valentine cards in the world: the ones that are sweet and simple… and the ones that are sweet, simple and quietly show off a little. This one is definitely the second type.
We pulled out the Valentine Kisses Bundle and built a fun fold that gives you a cute “peek” on the front, then opens up into a full-on love note situation inside—without turning into a bulky, unmailable beast. It’s bright, happy, and just detailed enough to look impressive… even if you made it in the 20 minutes between “I should really do laundry” and “why is everyone hungry again?”
What Makes This Card Special
This layout is all about layers and surprises—the good kind. When it’s closed, you get that clean, stacked look with the little bear and the “bear hugs & kisses” sentiment stealing the show. But when the card opens, the design expands into multiple panels so you can highlight:
Designer paper in more than one spot (because if you bought it, you should actually use it)
A second stamped bear image inside
A big center panel that’s perfect for a handwritten note (or a dramatic paragraph of appreciation—dealer’s choice)
It’s one of those folds that looks fancy on a desk, but it’s still friendly for real life crafting. No weird engineering degree required.

Project Details & Inspiration
We kept the color palette firmly in the “pink Valentine” lane, but with enough contrast that it doesn’t look flat. The outside starts with a soft embossed background (using the Hearts of Love 3D Embossing Folder), then we added a layered focal area with three vertical panels. That little “windowpane” effect is a sneaky trick for making scraps look intentional. Toss in a couple patterns from the Brights Designer Series Paperand suddenly you’re an artistic genius (or at least you look like one lol).
For the sentiment, we used the Valentine Kisses Bundle bear image and paired it with the “bear hugs & kisses” greeting. The tiny kiss stamps around the bear are a small detail, but they make the whole focal panel feel playful instead of plain. A couple of sparkly rhinestones finish it off.
Inside, the fun fold opens out to reveal more real estate: a bold stamped/inked pink panel in the center, the standing bear on the right with the “giving you a big smooch” sentiment, and a large floral panel that balances everything out. The result is bright, coordinated, and the back gives you pently of space to add your own message without cramming it into a tiny corner.
