Camera Birthday Card Idea Using the Capturing Smiles Bundle

That pop-out mechanism hiding inside is the real star of this card, and it's easier to create than it looks once you get the hang of the fold.

Project Details & Inspiration

Camera Birthday Card Idea Using the Capturing Smiles Bundle

We started this fun-fold card with Basic White Cardstock strips, folding and burnishing each mechanism into place before adding a Valley in Bloom Designer Series Paper arm to bring the whole thing to life! Each panel of that same Valley in Bloom Designer Series Paper was layered onto Basic White Cardstock, with the front layer run through the Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing Folder for a little extra texture.

Once everything was joined together in size order, we stamped our sentiments in Garden Green ink and die cut them with the Perennial Postage Dies to tuck onto the paper arms inside. For the focal point, we stamped and die cut a sweet little camera using Soft Sea Foam Cardstock, Garden Green Cardstock, and the Capturing Smiles Dies, then adhered it to the front so the card still opens and closes with ease. We finished things off with a hand fussy-cut "Happy Birthday" sentiment and a scattering of Moody Palette Glossy Dots for a little extra sparkle!

Supplies Used on This Project

We used a mix of classic Stampin’ Up! favorites and a few fun new releases to bring this project to life. From richly colored inks to perfectly coordinated paper and embellishments, every product helps you create professional-looking results with ease.
