Center-Opening Card Tutorial: A Fun Fold with Garden Poetry Designer Series Paper

This card has a cool design where just the middle part opens up, giving the recipient a fun surprise. The way it folds makes it more exciting than a regular card, with an unexpected reveal like a sweet message, a drawing, or a pop-up. This interactive twist turns a simple card into a treasured keepsake, great for birthdays, anniversaries, or any special occasion. These creative designs show how much thought you put into it, making card-giving more special!

Project Details & Inspiration

We began with a Thick Basic White panel and embossed it using the Beautiful Patterns 3D Designer Series Paper. Next, we added a thinner Basic White Cardstock panel, scored in half, to form the card's opening and closing mechanism. On top of that, we layered a panel of Poppy Parade Cardstock and Garden Poetry Designer Series Paper to introduce some color. We used the Spotlight on Nature Dies to cut a scrap piece of Poppy Parade Cardstock and stamped the sentiment (from the Simply Said Stamp Set) on Basic White Cardstock before cutting it with the Stylish Shapes Dies. We adhered these two pieces together and attached them to the card with dimensionals. To complete the design, we added three rhinestones for a touch of sparkle!
