One die-cut tree, one glowing moon, and three little bats; that's really all it took to build this spooky little scene. We started with Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper for the eerie backdrop, then let a Seasonal Cheer 3D embossed panel set the stage behind our silhouette. Black embossing powder gives the "Happy Halloween" sentiment a glossy pop against the Very Vanilla Cardstock. This one's perfect for the friend who has Halloween decorations up before pumpkin spice season even starts!

Project Details & Inspiration

We started this card on a Very Vanilla Cardstock base and layered strips of Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper over Basic Black Cardstock to frame the top and bottom sections. For the focal panel, we ran a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock through the Seasonal Cheer 3D Embossing Folder and mounted it onto Basic Black Cardstock for extra contrast against the scene.
Using the Oh My Fright Stamp Set and VersaMark Ink, we stamped stars onto scraps of Basic Gray Cardstock, then die cut the moon and bats with the coordinating Oh My Fright Dies along with a black tree from Basic Black Cardstock, layering the moon, tree, and bats together on the embossed panel. The "Happy Halloween" sentiment was stamped in VersaMark and set with black embossing powder for a smooth, shiny finish, and we finished things off by scattering a few Adhesive-Backed Bats across the front of the card.
