Double-Embossed Rustic Check Card with the Poetic Petals Stamp Set

Embossing the background is standard. Embossing the patterned paper too? That's where this card gets its charm. We ran both the Crumb Cake panel and the Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper through the Rustic Check 3D Embossing Folder, so the texture carries across every layer. Three snug wraps of vanilla baker's twine, a bow off to the side, and a die-cut sentiment on Dimensionals pull the center together. Warm, earthy, and just a little farmhouse.

Project Details & Inspiration

We started with a Crumb Cake Cardstock card base and a second Crumb Cake panel embossed with the Rustic Check 3D Embossing Folder for the front. The Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper got the same embossing treatment so the texture matches, then it was matted on Mossy Meadow Cardstock with an even border.

Wrap vanilla baker's twine around the Mossy Meadow layer three times and tie a bow on the left side, keeping the wraps snug and side by side so they lie flat under the sentiment. The layered panel goes on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock, die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies, and popped over the twine on Dimensionals. A Very Vanilla panel goes inside, and three Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems finish the front.
