Bright aurora patterns plus bold magenta cardstock make this card feel instantly celebratory. For this design, we reached for the Light & Wonder Bundle and the Lights of Aurora Designer Series Paper and built a clean, layered layout that puts color and texture right in the spotlight.
This project is one of those “stash-friendly” layouts that works any time you want to use up strips of Designer Series Paper without the card looking like a leftovers project. The Lights of Aurora DSP brings in those streaks of purples, pinks, and soft neutrals, while the solid center strip of cardstock grounds everything and gives the sentiment a strong anchor. With the Light & Wonder stamp set handling the greeting, the result is a crisp, modern card that still feels warm and handmade.
We kept the color palette tight—white, bright raspberry tones, and aurora patterns—so the design stays focused. The embossed white layer in the background adds texture without competing with the strips, and the subtle pattern repeats again on the colored panel in the center. That little detail helps the whole card look coordinated without needing extra layers or embellishments.

Project Details & Inspiration
The bones of this card are simple: a Basic White Damask embossed background, a bold Rich Razzleberry mat, and a center panel made from three vertical strips. The two outer strips are cut from Lights of Aurora Designer Series Paper, and the center strip is coordinating Rich Razzleberry cardstock run through the same Damask Embossing Folder used on the background. That mix of smooth DSP and textured color keeps the panel interesting without any extra fuss.
For the focal point, we stamped “May your day be filled with” from the Light & Wonder Bundle on a stitched white rectangle and popped it up on dimensionals across the three strips. A row of Frosted Iridescent embellishments underneath pulls the colors from the Lights of Aurora paper and adds just enough shine to make this design ready for birthdays, congratulations, or any everyday celebration.
