Embossed Star Window Card with the Shining Stars Dies in Peaceful Pine

Embossed Star Window Card with the Shining Stars Dies in Peaceful Pine

Here's the trick that makes this card look so crisp: emboss first, die cut second. We ran a Basic White panel through the Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder, then cut a big star window out of it with the Shining Stars Dies, so the folder never gets a chance to squish those clean cut edges. Pop the panel up over A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper and the plaid peeks right through the star. A few tiny Peaceful Pine stars, a high-five sentiment, and some sparkly rhinestones finish it off. It's a great one to keep on hand for anybody who deserves a little cheering on!

Project Details & Inspiration

Embossed Star Window Card with the Shining Stars Dies in Peaceful Pine

We started with a Peaceful Pine Cardstock card base and a Basic White mat on the front, topped with a panel of A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper so a thin white border frames the plaid. A matching Basic White panel goes inside for writing.

The smaller Basic White panel is embossed with the Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder, then the large star from the Shining Stars Dies cuts a window in the upper part. A thin Peaceful Pine strip runs across the panel below the star, and the whole panel pops up on Stampin’ Dimensionals so the paper shows through the window. Three small Peaceful Pine die-cut stars scatter around it. The high-five sentiment is stamped in Peaceful Pine ink, die cut into a star, and popped up at the lower right so it hangs just past the edge. Five Rhinestone Basic Jewels add the sparkle.
