Embrace the Night Panel Card | Featuring Light & Wonder + Lights of Aurora DSP

We went full aurora mode on this card. Blackberry Bliss cardstock, bold panels of Lights of Aurora Designer Series Paper, and a clean focal sentiment from the Light & Wonder Bundle all team up for a fun-fold design that looks fancy on display but still folds flat for mailing.
This card is all about movement and layers. Those staggered panels show off different sections of the aurora artwork, so every tilt of the card gives you a new peek at the color shifts. The “Embrace the…” sentiment on the front pulls you in, and when the card opens, the inside greeting finishes the phrase and reveals even more of that soft script stamping in the background. Add a Gold Striped bow and a few Frosted Iridescent dots, and the whole design lands in that sweet spot between elegant and fun.
This project is a great fit when you want to step a little outside the standard card base without diving into anything complicated. The panels are simple rectangles, the scoring is straightforward, and the Light & Wonder Bundle plus Lights of Aurora Designer Series Paper do most of the creative heavy lifting. We’re just here to line everything up and add the ribbon.
Project Details & Inspiration
This panel card started with the sentiment. We knew we wanted “Embrace the…” from the Light & Wonder stamp set to be the star on the front, so we created a long, narrow label and framed it with a coordinating Blackberry Bliss layer. That little band becomes the bridge across the card, connecting the panels and giving us a perfect spot to tuck in a Gold Striped bow.
From there, it was all about the Lights of Aurora Designer Series Paper. We trimmed several rectangles from the same sheet so each panel shows a different section of the artwork—some more blue, some more purple. Mounting them on matching Blackberry Bliss mats keeps everything cohesive. Inside, a large white panel stamped with one of the script-style sentiments from the Light & Wonder Bundle adds a soft backdrop. When the card is closed, you just see hints of that script peeking between the panels, and when it’s open, you get the full greeting surrounded by the aurora. A sprinkling of the Frosted Iridescent dots ties everything together without overcrowding the design.
