Gingham & Golden Glow: A Congratulations Card That Feels Like Sunshine

This one taught us a trick we're excited to share: instead of wrestling a single long ribbon tail around the whole card front, we wrapped the ribbon flat and tied a separate bow to layer on top after the fact. It's a small shortcut, but it makes a huge difference when you want that polished, full bow look without the bulk. Paired with cheerful gingham and a sweet little flower stamp, this one turned into the perfect "Congratulations" card for basically anyone. Golden Glow and Early Espresso are just such a good match together, too!

Project Details & Inspiration

We started with a Golden Glow Cardstock base and added a layer of Early Espresso Cardstock before adhering Basic White Cardstock onto our 2026-2028 In Color Gingham Gallery Designer Series Paper panel. We wrapped Golden Glow Bordered Ribbon around that panel and tied a separate bow to set aside, then popped the whole thing onto the card front with dimensionals.

For our focal point, we die cut an Early Espresso frame with the Stylish Shapes Dies, stamped the little flowers onto Basic White Cardstock in Early Espresso ink, colored them in with Golden Glow Stampin' Blends, die cut them with a smaller square from the same set, and layered it all together before adhering it slightly left of center with dimensionals. We tucked our saved bow right up against the square to finish that faux bow look, stamped and angle-cut our Congratulations sentiment along the bottom right, and scattered three 2026-2028 In Color Dots across the front to finish things off!
