Hand-Colored Acorn "Thank You" Card with the Thanks & Giving Stamp Set

Lean in close and you'll notice the acorn has a little shimmer! It's stamped in Early Espresso, colored with both shades of the Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends, brushed with Wink of Stella, and fussy cut so it can perch on the edge of a scalloped sentiment. Behind it, layers of Old Olive, Early Espresso, and Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper bring the warmth, and a gold striped mesh ribbon ties it all together. Cozy enough for Thanksgiving, simple enough to make a few at once!

Project Details & Inspiration

Hand-Colored Acorn "Thank You" Card with the Thanks & Giving Stamp Set

The card base is Golden Glow Cardstock. For the focal mat, Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper is layered on Early Espresso Cardstock, then on Old Olive, each with an even border. Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon wraps around the mat and ties in a bow on the left side; keep it snug and flat across the front so the sentiment sits level. The mat goes on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals, including a few near the ribbon.

The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink on Basic White Cardstock and die cut with the Scalloped Christmas Cheer Dies, positioned on the left side of the stitched rectangle to leave room for the acorn. It's popped up over the ribbon, just right of the bow. For the acorn, stamp it in Early Espresso, let the ink dry, color it with the light and then dark Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends, and add Wink of Stella once the color is dry. Fussy cut it (turn the paper, not the scissors), tuck it on the right edge of the sentiment, add a Basic White panel inside, and finish with three Gold Adhesive-Backed Dots.
