Layered Birthday Cheer with the Banner Sayings Bundle

We didn’t start with a big plan here, just a color combo we couldn’t quit and a stack of layers that kept getting better the more we played. One mat led to another and the ribbon landed right where it belonged!
Using the Banner Sayings Bundle and Splash of Sparkles Designer Series Paper, we let contrast do most of the work. Bold purple against soft pink, shiny brushstrokes on the DSP next to subtle texture from the embossing folder, and a clean birthday sentiment tucked in just made this card look so good. It’s cheerful and exactly the kind of birthday card that feels good to pull out when the calendar sneaks up on you.
Project Details & Inspiration
To make this card, we started with a Gorgeous Grape card base and added a layer of Basic White Cardstock. We embossed a square piece of Fresh Freesia Cardstock with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder then cut it from corner to corner to create the two triangles before layering on the card. Next, we added a layer of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock and the gorgeous Splash of Sparkles Designer Series Paper. The sentiment was stamped on Gorgeous Grape Cardstock with VersaMark and embossed with silver embossing powder. Finally, we added some rhinestones and a bow from the Misty Moonlight & White Starter Ribbon Pack.
