Painted Pumpkins Card Idea: Secret Sea, Pool Party & a Sparkly Twist
Two little pumpkins, a swipe of Wink of Stella, and one open-weave bow and that's really all this card needed to feel like fall. We loved layering the striped Painted Patch Designer Series Paper background with a scalloped doily peeking out underneath the sentiment for extra texture. Project Details & Inspiration
We started with a Pool Party Cardstock base, folded and burnished with a bone folder for a crisp edge. For the front panel, we layered Painted Patch Designer Series Paper onto Secret Sea Cardstock, wrapped a Secret Sea Bordered Open Weave Ribbon around the left side and tied it into a bow, then adhered the whole piece to the card front. A Basic White Cardstock circle, die cut with the Spotlight on Nature Dies, went over the ribbon on the right side to set up our focal point.
We stamped two pumpkins from the Painted Pumpkins Stamp Set onto Basic White Cardstock with Secret Sea ink, swirled a little Pool Party ink and Wink of Stella together for a soft shimmery tone, then die cut them out with the Painted Pumpkin Dies before stacking the smaller one onto the circle alongside a "Hey" sentiment stamped in Secret Sea ink and die cut with the Everyday Arches Dies, popped up on Dimensionals. We finished things off by adding the second pumpkin and three Painted Patch Adhesive-Backed Dots tucked along the bottom of the circle.
