Quilted Chevron Christmas Card Using Stampin' Up! Stitched Stocking Dies

That pieced chevron background looks like it took forever, but it's really just nine squares cut with one die and pieced together in order. We started from the center and worked our way out, matching triangle to triangle until the pattern lined up clean across the panel. Once it was embossed with the Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder, the subtle texture gave it the look of hand-stitched fabric — like a mini quilt block on the card front. It's one of our favorite ways to make a handful of paper scraps look intentional.

Project Details & Inspiration

We started this card with a Peaceful Pine Cardstock base and layered on Basic White Cardstock and a panel of Secret Sea Cardstock embossed with the Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder for a little background texture. For the focal point, we die cut nine squares from A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper using the Stitched Stockings Dies — three in the green pattern, one in blue snowflakes, two in candy cane red, and two in stitched crosses red — then pieced them onto a Basic White Cardstock panel to form that eye-catching chevron design.
Once everything was adhered and trimmed, we embossed the pieced panel with the same Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder, layered it onto Real Red Cardstock, and popped it up on the card front with Dimensionals. We finished things off by stamping our "Warm Wishes" sentiment in Secret Sea ink with the Stitched Stocking Stamp Set, die cutting it out, and adhering it right over that colorful chevron background.
