Sliding Spider "Happy Halloween" Card with the Web of Fun Bundle

Pull the ribbon and the spider climbs up and down the card! A small window cut right in the trimmer, a hidden channel of Black Stampin’ Dimensionals, and a black cardstock strip are all it takes to make this interactive slider. Add a shadowed "Happy Halloween" in Timid Tiger and white, and this one is guaranteed to get played with.

Project Details & Inspiration

We started with a Basic Black Cardstock card base and layered Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper on Basic White Cardstock. The slider window is cut in your trimmer with four partial cuts (no craft knife needed): two parallel slits for the long sides, then two short cuts to connect them, so the small rectangle pops right out. The panel goes on the card with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals, leaving a channel behind the window for a Basic Black strip to slide through. Lay the strip in place first so you know exactly where the channel goes, then fill in the rest so the panel doesn't cave in.
"Halloween" is die cut from Timid Tiger and Basic Black Cardstock, the Timid Tiger brushed with Wink of Stella and layered slightly to the right for a shadow. "Happy" gets the same treatment in white and black, shifted the same direction. The spider is stamped in Memento ink, colored with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends, and die cut. A Black Iridescent Ribbon tab stapled to the top of the strip becomes the pull tab, and the spider sits on a Dimensional on the strip right through the window. Inside, a thin strip of Designer Series Paper runs along the bottom of a Basic White panel!
