Speckled Spider Web Halloween Card with the Web of Fun Bundle

Those tiny black speckles? Rubbing alcohol and a couple drops of Memento ink in a Stampin’ Spritzer! Mist it over Basic White from about 10 inches away, flick a Basic Black Stampin’ Blend for a few bolder drops, and the background is done. A layered black-and-white spider web, a little spider, and a strip of Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper make it a Halloween card that's spooky in the best way!

Project Details & Inspiration

We started with a Pumpkin Pie Cardstock card base and a Basic White panel inside. For the speckled front panel, fill a Stampin’ Spritzer with 70% isopropyl alcohol, add two drops of Tuxedo Black Memento ink with the refill, and shake gently to mix. Holding the spritzer about 10 inches away keeps the cardstock from getting oversaturated. For bolder spots, tuck the brush tip of the Basic Black Stampin’ Blend into its cap and flick toward the panel (test on scrap paper first!).
Once dry, a strip of Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper goes along the bottom, and Black Iridescent Ribbon covers the seam, wrapped around the sides and taped to the back. The spider web is die cut from both Basic White and Basic Black Cardstock with the Web of Fun Dies; joining the two with Adhesive Sheets is so much easier than gluing every thin strand. "Halloween" is stamped in black, die cut, and popped over the ribbon on Dimensionals, a black die-cut spider climbs the web, and three white dots from the Adhesive-Backed Bats, Ghosts & Dots, colored with Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends, finish the front.
