Stair-Step Fun Fold Card: A Congratulations Card with the Fun for Fall Bundle

This one's got a fun-fold trick tucked inside—three stair-step blocks marching across a Petal Pink base, each folded and glued into place before a single embellishment goes on. We built it all on our new 2026-2028 In Color Gingham Gallery Designer Series Paper, then let a little flock of Fun for Fall crows take over the scene. The result is a congratulations card with real dimension, perfect for someone who'll notice the details.

Project Details & Inspiration

We started with a Petal Pink Cardstock base folded into the stair-step design, then layered the inside with Basic White Cardstock backed by 2026-2028 In Color Gingham Gallery Designer Series Paper. Each of the three stair-step blocks got its own Basic White Cardstock and Designer Series Paper panel, building the tiered look across the front.
For the scene, we stamped and colored our crows with the Basic Black, Darling Duckling, and Smokey Slate Stampin' Blends, then die cut them along with a fence, corn stalks, and corn cobs using the Fun for Fall Dies, tucking everything together with a small arch cut from the Everyday Arches Dies. The "This is something to crow about!" sentiment was stamped in Basic Black Hybrid ink, trimmed into a banner, and tucked across the center of the card. We finished it off with a Peaceful Pine Bordered Ribbon bow and a few 2026-2028 In Color Dots scattered across the design.
