‘Tis the Season for Baking – A Sweet Holiday Fun Fold Card

You know it’s officially the holiday season when your kitchen smells like sugar, spice, and everything nice… and your craft table looks like it’s been hit by a blizzard of cardstock and glitter. That’s exactly the kind of merry chaos we love around here! Today’s project using the Homemade Treats Bundle is all about celebrating those warm, cozy baking vibes but in card form.
This card design is a fun fold that opens up like a bakery door welcoming you in for a batch of freshly baked gingerbread cookies. It’s festive, interactive, and surprisingly easy to make! We combined a classic color palette: Real Red, Garden Green, and Crumb Cake, with the sweetest plaid patterned paper to create that cozy Christmas kitchen look.
Project Details & Inspiration
The star of the show is the sentiment panel: “‘Tis the season for baking.” It’s stamped in Garden Green ink and surrounded by die-cut gingerbread men who look ready to jump off the card and onto a cookie sheet. We tucked in a gold-toned rolling pin and a few peppermint embellishments to bring the whole design together because let’s be real, no Christmas project is complete without a little bit of sparkle and candy.
The layered label die cuts in red, green, and white give this card that polished “finished” look, while still keeping it playful and dimensional. It’s one of those designs that makes your recipient instantly smile (and maybe crave cookies, too).
When you open the card, there’s plenty of space to write your holiday message or even include a favorite cookie recipe for that extra thoughtful touch. Seriously, who wouldn’t love that?
