Breathtaking Bouquet

We finally got around to playing with this beautiful background stamp, and wow is it gorgeous! On the purple card we embossed in white then used our pigment sprinkles only the Gorgeous Grape color. The coral colored card on the right used a similar technique with the embossing of background stamp but we specifically used the gold embossing powder. More information on these cards can be found below, plus a video from our Facebook/YouTube Live which shows every step we used to make these breathtaking cards!

Gorgeous Grape Breathtaking Bouquet Card

We're not going to lie, this card can get a little messy if you're not careful. To prepare, we used latex gloves to make sure our fingers didn't get stained by the pigment sprinkles. These sprinkles are very powerful, so a little goes a long ways!

After embossing the watercolor paper, we sprayed some water on the paper. Then we dropped some of the Gorgeous Grape pigment sprinkles on the paper. The color will immediate spread across the paper. Where you use more of the pigment sprinkles, you will get more of the deeper purple colors and where you use less, you'll get some light blue and pink colors.

When you feel like you have enough pigment on the paper, you can always spray more water to spread the color around. Once you're happy with where the color is, take some paper towels to absorb the excess water. You can choose to either let the paper air dry or you can use a heat tool to speed up the drying process.

Calypso Coral Breathtaking Bouquet Card

This card is a little less messy that the Gorgeous Grape card! We followed the same steps for embossing the watercolor paper but we used the gold emboss powder instead.

After the paper is embossed, we placed some of the Calypso Coral re-inker on a Stampin' Block. We picked up the ink using an aqua painter and then placed it on the card using some of the water in the aqua painter. There really is no wrong way to color in this background stamp; you can color in as much or as little as you want.

To finish off the card, we fussy cut out the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the "Happy Birthday to You" stamp set and adhered it over some Petal Pink Metallic-Edge ribbon.
