Make a Cake Gift Box using the Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper
Nancy saw some cute unicorn Little Debbie's cakes in the store and thought it went along perfectly with the Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper. The paper is gorgeous, think pastel tones that'll make your heart do a little happy dance, and a bunch of patterns and designs that are basically a playground for your creativity. We're talking clouds, hot air balloons, stripes, dots – the whole shebang. It's like a colorful adventure waiting to happen on your card fronts.
For the base, we used Azure Afternoon Cardstock. We score the cardstock using the measurements provided below. Then, we cut and adhered the box using the template Nancy provides in the video. After the box is put together, we adhere the Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper to the box using liquid glue. For the decorations, we tied a bow around the box using the Azure Afternoon ribbon from the 3/8" (1 cm) Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack. The sentiment from the Circle Sayings Stamp Set was stamped on Basic White Cardstock with Azure Afternoon ink and then punched out using the 2-3/8" Circle Punch. The cupcake from the same stamp set was stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock in Pool Party ink then colored in a little bit with a Pool Party Stampin' Blend. To add some sparkle, we added some Wink-of-Stella on top of the ink. We fussy cut the cupcake out and adhered it to the circle with dimensionals. Finally, we adhered the completed circle to the box with dimensionals and added some Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots.
