Charming Sentiments Wedding or Congratulations Card
Been wanting to do a Water Color Wash background for sometime so what better DSP to match it with than the new Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. Wow is this a stunning pack. We used the coordinating dies to cut out the flowers AND the leaves! How awesome that Stampin' Up! coordinates their dies with the paper! I love it!
I started out with the Shimmery White Cardstock first. Squeeze both ink pads to get some ink transferred to the lid when open. Take your Water Painters and squeeze a small amount of water onto the lid and mix with ink. Load up your brush with ink and directly on the Shimmery White Cardstock, no need to wet first. Let this dry after you get the desired look with both inks. Once this was dry I used the background die from Blossoming Happiness to create more dimension.
Next, I folded the cardbase and created a nice crease with our Bone Folder. I then took the dried water colored piece and adhered to the 3-7/8"x 5-1/8" Polished Pink piece and adhered both those to the front of the card base using Dimensionals.
I then die cut the flowers and leaves out of the DSP. I adhered the Light colored flowers and leaves directly to the Shimmery White Cardstock using the Mutipurpose Glue. For the darker flowers and leaves I adhered them to the base using Dimensionals.
Last, I stamped the Charming Sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Polished Pink ink and die cut it out with the match die. I adhered this to the front of the card over the ribbon using Dimensionals and added a few Rhinestones for sparkle.
