Emboss Resist Card
This is such a beautiful technique and so simple to do. You can use any combination of colors and the look turns out unique every time. We used one of the new In Colors (Sweet Sorbet) from Stampin' Up and it works perfect with a couple current colors as well.
We started off with the new 2022-24 In Color cardstock, Sweet Sorbet for our card base. Then we adhered a layer of Basic White Cardstock. On the next layer of cardstock, we stamped our flower images in VersaMark and embossed with White Embossing Powder. Once dry, we started to create an ombre effect using three ink pads (Sweet Sorbet, Flirty Flamingo, and Calypso Coral) and blending brushes. We started off with the darkest color at the bottom and worked our way up to the lightest color. Then, we took a tissue and wiped the ink off the embossed images.
Next step was to create the sentiment. We stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sorbet ink on Basic White Cardstock before die cutting it out. Using the same die cut set, we then cut out an oval from the 2022-24 In Color Glimmer Paper. We adhered everything to the front of the card and finished it by adding some ribbon and iridescent gems.
