How to Make a Quick Beginner Friendly Card in Minutes

When you first start making cards, it can be SO overwhelming seeing all of the tools, techniques, and unique words to the craft. Let's break it down and make this card that is very beginner friendly. All you need is a double sided patterned paper (aka Designer Series Paper) and white cardstock. Plus, you'll want to grab your favorite stamp set and color coordinating ink. That's it!

How to Make a Quick Beginner Friendly Card in Minutes

We started off with Thick Basic White Cardstock for the base and folded it in half. Next, we added a layer of the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper (DSP) before we added another layer of Basic White Cardstock and a different pattern of the Unbounded Beauty DSP. The sentiment was stamped in either Peach Pie or Petunia Pie ink and fussy cut out of the Basic White Cardstock it was stamped on.

Measurements:

Thick Basic White Cardstock

  • 4-1/4" x 11"; score on the long side at 5-1/2" (card base)

  • 3-1/4" x 3-1/4"

  • Scrap for sentiment

Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper

  • 4" x 5-1/4" (larger size)

  • 3" x 3" (smaller size)
